Map Navigation Tools
There are several tools provided to move around on the map or view different areas and stages of the race.

The Zoom In tool allows you to view a smaller area of the map than is currently displayed. Click the Zoom In button and then click the map to zoom in to a smaller area. You can also 'click and drag' to zoom in to a specific area. When you click and drag a box will be drawn showing the are you will zoom into when you release the mouse button.

The Zoom Out tool allows you to focus on a larger area of the map than is currently displayed. Click the Zoom Out button and then click the map. The Zoom Out tool can be used multiple times to view larger and larger regions.

The Zoom to Full Extents tool allows you to quickly reset the current map view to the entire race area. There is no need to click on the map to activate this tool - it is activated as soon as you click the Zoom to Full Extents button.

The time selection menu allows you to select a specific time during the race to view. When you select a time from this menu you will be able to view the positions of boats or tracks as they existed at that time in the race.

  The Back and Next arrows surrounding the time selection menu allow you to select available times right before or after the currently selected time.

Map Legend
The map legend allows you to identify boats and change the map view in different ways.

The Fleet Selection menu allow you to choose to view class leaders, all the boats in a chosen class, or the entire fleet on the map.

  The Boats and Layers headings in the legend can be expanded or collapsed. To expand them click the '+' sign, to collapse them click the '-' sign. The Boats section contains a list of the boats that are available in the map. The Map Layers section contains a list of optional map layers that you can turn on and off.

Each group of layer has a checkbox beside it. If the checkbox is checked the boat or layer is visible on the map, if it is unchecked the boat or layer is not drawn on the map.

Other Features

If you put your cursor over a boat on the map, the name of the boat will be shown. If you click on the boat, additional information about that boat will appear.

The Leader Board link will open a new window showing the race leader board.

The scale bar below the map gives an approximate indication of distances on the map.

To save the map image 'right click' with you mouse and select the save image option your browser gives you. For example, in Internet Explorer you should see an option like "Save picture as". I Firefox you should see "Save image as". Other browsers offer similar choices.
